Welcome to Neuroverse Specialist Centre
At NSC, we wholeheartedly celebrate the beautiful and rich diversity of human neurology. Every child experiences and interacts with the world around them in their own unique and meaningful way, and that individuality is precisely what makes them truly special. We firmly believe in providing support that enables each child to confidently navigate their world on their own terms, honoring their distinctiveness and nurturing their personal growth. NSC is deeply committed to empowering every individual to understand and explore their own universe in a manner that feels natural and makes sense to them.
At Neuroverse, we specialise in cognitive, neurological, behavioural, and academic assessments tailored to support every child’s unique journey. We offer onsite assessments at schools, kinders, and childcare centres, helping children feel safe and settled in familiar environments. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit us at our office in Macleod on appointment bases. We provide comprehensive reports, NDIS assistance, ongoing therapy, and so much more! Our services include social skills groups and parent support groups for families of neurodiverse children. We also offer onsite consultations for schools and kinders.

Why an Assessment is Important
Understanding your child’s unique strengths, challenges, and needs is the first and most powerful step in getting them the right support. A psychological assessment offers more than just answers—it provides clarity, reassurance, and a personalised plan for moving forward with confidence.
Whether your child is finding school tricky, struggling with attention or emotions, or just isn’t quite themselves, an assessment helps to make sense of what’s going on and what can be done to help.
Here’s how a psychological assessment can support your child and your family:
Pinpoint the "why" behind challenges
Whether it’s difficulty with learning, attention, behaviour, or emotions, an assessment helps uncover what’s going on beneath the surface.
Highlight your child’s strengths
Every child has unique abilities. We don’t just look at what’s hard—we also discover what your child does well, helping build confidence and direction.
Support access to diagnosis and funding
If appropriate, the assessment can lead to a formal diagnosis (e.g. Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia), which may be essential for school support plans or NDIS funding.
Offer tailored recommendations
You’ll receive a practical, easy-to-understand report full of suggestions for home, school, and therapy settings.
Empower you to advocate effectively
With clear insights and professional documentation, you’ll be better equipped to speak up for your child’s needs and access the right supports.

At Neuroverse, we’re dedicated to providing high-quality psychological assessments that uncover each child’s unique learning profile, developmental needs, and emotional wellbeing. Led by registered psychologist Anjum Khan, our team takes a compassionate, child-centred approach that supports families and schools to better understand and respond to the children in their care.
We specialise in assessments for a range of developmental, learning, and mental health concerns including ADHD, autism, learning difficulties, anxiety, and mood disorders. Using gold-standard, evidence-based tools, we deliver clear, practical reports that guide next steps in both home and educational settings.
Anjum brings over 10 years of experience in clinical and educational psychology. Deakin University trained and an AHPRA-registered psychologist, she combines her expertise in psychological assessment with a deep understanding of how children learn, grow, and thrive in real-world environments.
At Neuroverse, we believe that insight is empowering — and that every child deserves to be seen, understood, and supported.
